Cadaver Donation -- My wish is to trigger more awareness

At the outset, I congratulate you for creating a blogspot for the organisation. Such an interactive medium is a useful platform to exchange and disseminate information.

About the news item on CADAVER DONATION, I must say with all humility that I am not the first to offer to do that. There is the example of Com Shanti Bhattacharjee (former Joint Secretary of AIIEA & Genl Secy of EZIEA) whose body was donated to a Govt Hospital in Kolkata on June 2, 2005 as per his Will. There is also the living example of Com C.S. Gangadharan (AIIEA activist, retd from LIC, Coimbatore - now living in Chennai). He has already registered his pledge for cadaver donation motivated by his wife. I am sure there may be more.

My only wish is that such public declaration would trigger more awareness on cadaver donation among insurance fraternity.

My Greetings to all.

  1. Inspired on the gesture of our Great Leader Com.Gurumurthy, one of our Comarade, Com.Seetharaman, has also opted for Cadaver Donation. On 29.1.2011 he left this world due to sickness. He was 47 and a PHC who has lost both of his legs 25 years back. His body was given to CMC Hospital, Vellore. He was working in OIC Vellore DO. Com.Seetharaman has proved himself as a true AIIEA'n. Let us pray for his soul rest in peace.
