touching 11.47 per cent in the
week ending August 28.

    government today announce its decision to change the base year to 2004-05,and made alterations in calculating WPI,the weightage given for food articles also reduced.

    Dear com ramesh, thank you for your response. You referred about proposed new price index having less weightage to food component.It is like cutting the foot to fit the size of the shoe.
